Welcome to The Maze!

My name is Paul and in July 2006 my family and I purchased The Maze. We are very excited about our latest business venture and wanted to take a minute to tell you about some of the recent renovations and future plans.

Originally built in the late 70’s, The Maze was officially opened in 1981 with a massive 2500m2 wooden maze as its main feature. Today our vision is to upgrade the existing facilities and add new attractions to turn the 32 acres of parkland into Perth’s favourite playground!

Since purchasing the property The Maze team has been working hard to improve the visitor experience, upgrading the existing park infrastructure and adding some great new games, including:

  • A 9 hole Disc Golf course
  • Tayla’s Tangle
  • Giant Chess
  • Danae’s Dilemma
  • Phil's Frustration
  • Walk-in Aviary
  • Landscaping the entrance and mini golf gardens
  • Overhauling the café
  • Reconfiguring the entry and exit points to the Timber Maze and adding a Lookout Tower
  • Walk thru kangaroo enclosure
  • Additional toilets in the park
  • New Koala Enclosure, the Koala's can be viewed at any time of day.
  • Tractor Tyre Maze (our most challenging yet)
  • Children's Playground
  • Tyre Swing
  • Expanded picnic grounds

That said, we are far from being finished! And development will continue throughout the Park with these new features planned for the future:

  • A new hedge maze (one made from hedges that will grow back after pruning…don’t ask!, Opening end of 2012)
  • More Permenant BBQ's
  • A water playground
  • Cafe extension
  • Marquee Area...

And the list goes on!
